Key Findings
• Use of an electronic health record (EHR) system with a disease management program (DMP) for types 2 diabetes was associated with increased quality of healthcare delivery without increasing overall costs of healthcare treatments. Costs in general practice increased marginally while emergency hospital costs decreased.
